100 Word Challenge

The trees swayed peacefully in time to the whistling of the wind.
Against the angry grey sky the black tree silhouettes became like
skeletons. Silently they stalked, in a determined trance towards me.
They struck a threatening pose.  Lightening cracked, illuminating
their evil figures.  I blinked. Everything was still. I blinked again.
There were only trees before me, swaying in time to the whistling
of the wind. But I swore I saw one of the old grooved trees wink a
woody eye at me. I turned and sprinted away, out of reach from
their grasping branches.

...we were moving very fast when…

It was a small and old car but my friend was standing beside it happily
grinning so I smiled encouragingly back. “Come on get in and we’ll take
it for a spin” Sam urged. “But you aren’t even allowed to take passengers
yet!” I said, he just laughed “Come on don't be silly” He was looking so
excited so I reluctantly climbed into the car. We sped down the road
heading towards the intersection. That was when Sam put his foot on
the accelerator. I screamed at him, but it was to late. We were moving
very fast when the truck hit us. We landed with a bone shattering crunch,
everything went black...

Japanese facts

Japanese facts:

  1. The literacy rate (people who can read and write) of japan is one of the highest in the world, at almost 100%. Japans unemployment rate is less than 4%.
  2. Christmas is a romantic event, celebrated like valentines day, because only 2% of the population is christian. 
  3. Slurping noodles or soups is a compliment, it is said to be a sign that the food is delicious.
  4. There are four different writing systems in Japan; Romanji, Katakana, Hiragana and Kanji.
  5. People often power map at work, this is acceptable and even a sign of a hardworker.

Term 3 Week 4



This week we have been presenting our speeches, I did mine on Horse of the Year. We also had cross country on Monday. Yesterday I had Waimaths we got second place - we were one point off first.

Term 2 Week 7

This week we did our James and the giant peach production I was a glow worm.
I also went on a fixture to St Kents Auckland.
For genius hour I am drawing pictures of horses I drew a picture of my pony Perri.

Science Week 4

In science today we had to make models of the digestive system out of clay, below is a photo of what I made.
